GIVE BACK. DO GOOD. SPREAD JOY.

At Movers+Shakers, our mission to spread joy is a constant through line when it comes to the work we do and the people we hire. But it’s also important to us beyond the “walls” of our offices. That’s why we decided to completely close on October 28th for a day dedicated to care.

Care means different things to different people. For some, it’s social reform, for others it’s volunteering for a local cause, and for others, it’s taking care of a loved one or a furry friend. Instead of dictating what our employees should care about, we’re giving them a day off to focus on what matters most to them. Organically, many of our employees have made plans to get together and volunteer as a group. For example, on Nov 5, you may catch some of our west coast team volunteering at APLA’s Food Pantry!

Are you interested in giving back, doing good, and spreading joy too? LA Works and New York Cares are great resources to find local volunteer opportunities in LA and NY respectively. Do Good LA is another tool for those interested in learning about or supporting social entrepreneurism in LA & Southern California.
