FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF WORKING AT MOVERS+SHAKERS (VOL. 7)

We’ve twice been named the #1 fastest-growing agency (according to Adweek), and we’re so excited to introduce a few more of our incredible employees! Meet Valeria, Eric, and Paige, and read about their experience at Movers+Shakers so far and, of course, what they’re listening to right now!

Valeria Laguna, Account Manager

Hi everyone! I am Valeria Laguna, a Miami-based Venezuelan. I am currently an Account Manager on the Unilever team who loves human insights and storytelling. When I am not reading or listening to crime podcasts (calling all the Crime Junkies), I am probably putting together outfits, trying new beauty products, or eating pasta (of every kind).

First impression of the leadership: It is rare to see leaders being so involved in the lives of their employees (in a positive way). The fact that you get to meet these individuals on a 1:1 basis and they genuinely care about you had a professional, but also as a human is refreshing.

First impression of the company: I loved the energy from the start and the constant willingness to always be learning. Multiple times a week we meet as a full agency to chat about the latest social updates, internal accomplishments and celebrations, as well as simply get to know each other as people which has been super fun!

First impression of our work: We create work at "M+S speed" that is fun, engaging, and trendy in the best way possible. The concept of spreading joy isn't only internal. We strive to externally spread joy through the work we do on a daily basis.

What has been the most surprising thing? I knew everyone hired by M+S had to be talented, but there are so many people with cool hobbies, side hustles, and passions outside of work and M+S is constantly celebrating that.

What is your go-to album? Bad Bunny's Un Verano Sin Ti

Paige Williams, Associate Creative Producer

Hi! My name is Paige Williams and I'm a Junior Creative Producer here at Movers and Shakers. I have 4 years of experience creating content in varying roles such as Producer, Director, and Writer. I'm thrilled to have a job that allows me to work on such fun projects that spread joy into others lives. Aside from work I love spending time with my nieces and nephews, hanging out at the beach, or playing soccer!

First impression of the leadership: My first impression of leadership here at Movers and Shakers was that they really care about us as individuals. We're not just some pieces to their puzzle but real people with real wants, needs, and emotions. The founders Evan and Geoffrey went out their way to get to know the people that contribute to their mission. I felt so welcomed upon starting and knew right away this would be a great place to be.

First impression of the company: My first impression of Movers and Shakers as a whole was that this company is so intentional about it's mission to spread joy. I could see joy being spread among employees and the work they created everyday. I also noticed that they care about our well-being. The unlimited PTO policy and ability to create a flexible schedule that works for you revealed to me how much they put our needs as a person first. They want us to be happy and comfortable while still getting the job done!

First impression of our work: My first impression of the work at Movers and Shakers was that it is so much fun! The work we put out there is anything but basic. It's fun, high energy, and typically funny material. The ads we put on Tik Tok are always something that would catch my eye if I was viewing as a regular, nonbias Tik Tok user.

What has been the most surprising thing? The most surprising thing I've seen while working here is the two -year anniversary song the company creates for someone who's been working at the company for two full years. I was so shocked when I saw that. It showed me how much the employers truly appreciate and recognize the work of their employees. It made me and others so happy. Spreading joy is really a core value here!

What is your go-to album? Jhene Aiko - Chilombo

Eric Orange, Sr. Art Director

I'm a Senior Art Director from Texas with a traditional big agency background. After a couple years of freelancing, I took a leap of faith and joined Movers + Shakers. One of the best decisions I've ever made.

First impression of the leadership: Leadership is very invested in company culture and employee growth.

First impression of the company: The first thing that stuck out to me was their commitment "Spreading Joy." A lot of agencies have mission statements, but M+S actually prioritizes their mission every step of the way.

First impression of our work: Our client roster is unheard of. Not only is M+S working with some of the most recognizable companies, but the projects that are brought our way are always future focused. M+S is helping to shape the culture in a big way.

What has been the most surprising thing? This is my first agency that is completely work from home. Their infrastructure has lead to a whole new way of working.

What is your go-to album? "Aerial" by Kate Bush
